What’s Wrong With Online Dating, and How to Make Online Dating Better!

What’s wrong with online dating?

I bet you ask yourself that question. Almost all of us tried it, even if we don’t admit it, and for sure all of us have an opinion about online dating. We all know there is something wrong with online dating. First of all, you can’t “date” anyone online. You can only meet a person online. The same as you can meet a person at a party, through friends, in a bar, at work, school, seminar, coffee shop, you name it. Online is only a meeting spot, or to be precise a way to find each other in this big beautiful world of ours. Where do we date people? We date them offline, we meet them for coffee, or dinner, or drinks, and then we have a chance to get to know them, click, and maybe even fall in love.

So why there is something wrong with online dating? Well, we spend hours and hours building a one beautiful profile, and there are lots of articles out there that will tell you what to make your profile shine. It needs to shine because there are thousands of other profiles just like you, same page, same town, similar looks. You want to stand out, you use the right photo, you say the right thing, you mention your interests, and hobbies, and you pick the once that will increase your chance of catching someone’s attention. Sounds like a lot of work, and we haven’t even started yet.

What’s next? You can start browsing through profiles, and there are many, and it takes time, you finally message a few. You get no responses, so you message some more, and more, and after days, and hours of messaging, you get some responses, you start some communication, and weeks later you finally meet. Of course by then your expectations went through the roof, and you should be ready to face some bitter disappointment. What if you get all excited, and the communication ends somewhere in the middle of nowhere, and you don’t know why. She just stopped writing, or he did. Sounds familiar?

You could be at the other end of it. You might be getting hundreds of irrelevant messages, and most of them really short. It’s hard to choose who to respond to because they didn’t write much, and they didn’t write much because people don’t usually respond to them so they don’t want to waste too much time writing, they’d rather message a lot, and write very little.

Did you know that only a very tiny percent of online dating users actually go out on real dates? And isn’t it the main purpose of it all? Now you understand better why that is.

What’s with all those people on online dating sites that never want to actually meet anyone? Usually they are in relationships, and their just using online dating to test the waters. How can you tell you just came across somebody like that? You can’t really. You will probably waste hours, and days until you find out you are just being played. It happened to all of us at one point or the other.

What if online dating was made easier? What if online dating was only about finding the person that really wants to go out on a date, and making that date happen? What if you could use online dating to line up a few dates, meet many people, get to know them, and finally choose the one you really feel strong about? What if you could skip all that chatting, messaging, making your profile shine, and focus on finding a wonderful person, and a great date idea? A person and a date!

3 Great Reasons to Try Online Dating Right Now

It wasn’t too long ago that online dating was considered the domain of various types of losers and guys who were teased for their sweating problems in gym class. It didn’t exactly have a bright reputation amongst most people because the internet was still fairly new and anything associated with online social interaction was considered “nerdy.” However, in the past five years especially, it has become increasingly more acceptable to look for dates online. The biggest dating websites produce multi-million dollar ad campaigns so there must be quite a few people on these sites, right? More and more people are looking past the negative connotations that dating sites once held and are turning to the internet to meet potential dates. Here are a few reasons why you should jump on the online dating bandwagon if you haven’t already.

1. Everyone is Doing It

Thanks to the increasing use of the internet amongst all demographics, it has become more acceptable to use the internet in daily life. Even older demographics have expanded their internet use, and the internet is no longer seen as something that only nerds use. The negative attitudes toward online dating have decreased as well. While you may have been met with blank or confused stares had you introduced a partner from a dating site five years ago, most people are much more accepting of the practice right now – in fact, most people probably know someone who has started a relationship through a dating website.

There’s an additional benefit to this growth – there are more people to meet. After all, the more people there are looking online for love, the more likely it is that you’ll meet someone great. The explosion in the popularity of online dating sites means that the old anecdote “there are plenty of fish in the sea” is more accurate than ever.

2. Matchmaking is Easy

No matter what kind of style or personality you have, there’s a great chance that you’ll meet someone compatible through a dating site. And the great thing about these sites is that they make it easy to find compatible partners. Most sites ask users to provide information about their hobbies, first date activities, hobbies, their taste in movies and music, etc. This can help tremendously in finding someone whose personality jives with your own and who is looking for the same things out of a relationship that you are.

Not only will you be able to find people who are compatible with you, but you’ll also be able to quickly determine if you’re not compatible with another user. You can tell a lot about people by their interests and hobbies and the way they describe themselves; use this to your advantage and you might even save yourself from scheduling a first date that would never work in the first place.

3. There’s No Obligation

Are you running out of luck in the clubs and bars? Can’t seem to meet someone in the normal spots? All the more reason to give dating sites a try; there are plenty of free sites where you can register a profile and check out who’s in your area. If you don’t meet anyone, it’s not a big deal – you’ve just lost a few minutes of your time. As they say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, and if you don’t at least try online dating, you’re immediately depriving yourself of lots of potential partners.

Whether you’re just re-entering the dating pool or you’re a seasoned veteran, you could do much worse than signing up for a dating site. There are plenty of opportunities to meet someone online and it streamlines the process quite a bit by making it easy to find your matches. The only question is – if you’re not using online dating, what are you waiting for?

Online Dating World

The online dating world can be broken up in 3 distinct categories. Awesome, Not good, and just weird. Trying to find somebody special these days can be a hazardous task. With online dating we have just made it a bit simpler. The awesome-ness of internet dating is that we have just open the world of online dating. After opening an account with dating sites you as the user can now hook yourself up with any thousands of singles out there. With your profile setup you can now contact or get contact with any of the thousands that may be single and looking for the same thing as you do… a partner for life. The best part of internet dating is most that most of these software packages will match you up with people with similar interests. This will not only save you time but also increase your chances of finding somebody.

The so called not good part of online-dating is that most people that join internet dating website believe at first its free but this of course is a total lie. Usually its free to sign up and free checkout other profiles but its definitely not free for life. We personally do not believe in free online dating websites. The person that joins such sites is usually not interested in a long term relationship and just looking for a quick date or shag.

The weird part of online-dating has to be various scamming ideas that you find online. There is a multitude of fake account people that use their internet access to join a free online dating portal but then try to scam unforeseen users. So for your own sake, do not give out personal information until you know a little bit more about the user.

Before you partner up you should consider a couple of factors before you start dating. Always look for a partner that is situated in your local area. By doing this you can eradicate any un-serious elements and people that would like to rip you off.

Do not disclose any private info until you are sure you can trust this person and when meeting this person for the first time, you need to meet during the day and in a crowded area. Also make sure everybody knows where you are and what you doing. In fact get one of your friends to phone you, just to make sure everything is in order.
